Hello! We are Mikity Tour<\/strong>, a traveling couple.
This blog is created by my wife, Mikity, and me, Daiki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After traveling around the world, we realized something important:
the place we truly want to return to is Hokkaido.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Global Travels<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We have explored the United States<\/strong> from coast to coast and toured Europe<\/strong> extensively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The breathtaking\u00a0Yosemite<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Grand Canyon National Parks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each journey was a treasure in our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our travel theme has always been: spectacular scenery and delicious food<\/strong>.
No matter how far we traveled, Hokkaido always appeared in our hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Hokkaido Felt Special<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hokkaido has always held a special place for us.
We visited once or twice every year, discovering new surprises and experiencing moments of awe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, I (Daiki) spent my university years in Hokkaido<\/strong>.
The \u201cmajestic landscapes,\u201d \u201cwarm-hearted people,\u201d and \u201cabundant food\u201d I felt back then became even more meaningful as we returned as adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We traveled all over Japan\u2014Kyoto, Okinawa, Kyushu\u2014but Hokkaido\u2019s nature and food<\/strong> rival even the world\u2019s most stunning landscapes and gourmet experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Let\u2019s go back to Hokkaido again.”<\/em>
“Next time, we should see the drift ice in winter.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gradually, Hokkaido transformed from a travel destination to a place we truly wanted to live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hokkaido Food: The Best in the World<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Traveling abroad, we were often amazed by rich food cultures:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Hearty\u00a0beef steaks and burgers<\/strong>\u00a0in the U.S.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Fragrant\u00a0croissants and French cuisine<\/strong>\u00a0in France<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    But Hokkaido has something uniquely special:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Rich cheeses<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Locally harvested vegetables<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Every bite lets you feel the true power of the ingredients<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Mikity said with a smile, \u201cHokkaido\u2019s food is the best in the world!\u201d<\/em>
      I wholeheartedly agreed\u2014it rivals both European gourmet and American hearty cuisine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Quitting Work and Moving to Hokkaido<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      All these feelings built up until one day, I made a decision:
      “I\u2019m going to quit my job and move to Hokkaido.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Of course, there were doubts.
      Giving up a city career is not something one does lightly.
      But finding a place you genuinely want to live in is rare in life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      So, we chose Hokkaido as our new home<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Experiencing the Four Seasons in Hokkaido<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Living in Hokkaido, we realized how dynamic the seasons<\/strong> are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Spring<\/strong>: Flowers bloom everywhere as the snow melts, coloring the world.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Summer<\/strong>: The patchwork hills of\u00a0Biei and Furano<\/strong>\u00a0release the scent of lavender.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Autumn<\/strong>: Mountains turn\u00a0red and yellow<\/strong>, and delicious autumn harvests fill the table.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Winter<\/strong>: Snow covers everything, bringing a quiet strength to the landscape.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        “Every day feels like a journey,”<\/em> Mikity once said\u2014a phrase that still resonates in my heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Why We Started Mikity Tour<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        While capturing videos and photos on our trips, we realized:
        Why not share Hokkaido\u2019s charm<\/strong> and our daily lives as a traveling couple<\/strong> with more people?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        That\u2019s how the YouTube channel Mikity Tour<\/strong> began.
        And because some stories and emotions can\u2019t fully be conveyed in videos, we started this blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The Future of Mikity Tour Blog<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        This blog will start with our travels and daily life in Hokkaido<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Biei, Furano, Shiretoko, Abashiri drift ice, Otaru<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          We will share our experiences as vividly as possible.
          Gradually, we will expand to cover the rest of Japan, and eventually the world.
          But our hearts will always remain rooted in Hokkaido<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Conclusion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          America and Europe were amazing.
          But we chose a life where we live in Hokkaido and continue our travels.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
